The roads are narrow, treacherous, and (most importantly) windy. But that’s just part of the fun – you get to see some truly incredible sights, like impossibly high mountains and raging rivers. We just returned from a trip to Leh Ladakh, and we cannot say enough good things about it! The journey from Delhi to Leh was absolutely breathtaking. The roads were narrow, winding, and steep, but it was definitely worth it. We spent our first few days in Leh exploring the city and hiking around the local monastery. The views from the top of the monastery were absolutely incredible. The next few days were spent driving out to the Valley of Flowers. The valley is simply stunning and full of colorful villages. We even saw some wild camels walking around! As we drove out of the valley, we began to see some of the most impressive mountains we have ever seen. The views from the roads were absolutely breathtaking. Finally, we reached Leh itself and spent our final few days hiking in the surrounding valleys. It was such a beautiful place and we can’t wait to go back someday!
